Youth Basketball Photography and Custom Player Cards

Rookie Edition Studio photographs club, rec and school basketball rosters on their court and converts the session into a sealed collectible card set for each athlete.

Portrait style

Basketball portraits are photographed with controlled lighting because gym fluorescents shift color and flatten faces. We keep the ball out of the chin line so the jersey number, nameplate and expression all stay visible on a small card.

Hero poses we photograph

  • Ball on the hip with a squared, confident stance
  • Triple-threat position with knees bent
  • Shooting form held at the release point
  • Ball spun or palmed overhead for taller athletes
  • Seated bench portrait for the Personal Rookie Card

Equipment to bring

  • Game ball in the correct age-group size
  • Full uniform including reversible tops if used
  • Court shoes, sleeves and headbands the athlete normally wears

Team and coach

The roster is photographed at center court or on the baseline in two rows, with the ball placed to anchor the front row. The head coach is photographed separately, usually with a clipboard or at the bench.

Action photography

Indoor action is photographed from the baseline where drives, finishes and defensive stances face the camera. Because gym light is limited, action selects are reviewed carefully before any frame enters a card design.

Card set

Each basketball athlete receives ten physical, double-sided cards across seven designs, including two Team Cards that keep the whole roster in every pack.

Parent & guardian approval

A parent or legal guardian registers each athlete, provides consent and approves the private proof before anything is printed. Read the parent and guardian consent information before your session.

Request a Basketball Card Day

We only collect the information needed to plan a session. Please do not submit sensitive details about a minor in this form.
